Lucas Gerez

Lucas Gerez is currently in his 4th year of Mechanical Engineering at University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). He is now a visiting student at the University of Alberta through U ARE Research Program. In the lab, he is working on the implementation of a piezoelectric actuator in a needle insertion robot, angular and linear position acquisition with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and CAD designs for new mechanical implementations in a needle insertion device.
