Projects related to nanotechnology and organic electronics are available for 4th year undergraduates in Engineering Physics and Electrical Engineering. Please email Dr. Shankar to find out more information about these projects.

The Shankar research group is always looking for talented undergraduates interested in summer research with backgrounds in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering and Materials Science. Students from the University of Alberta typically work under the auspices of the NSERC-USRA, STEP and ISWSP programs. Exchange students with superior academic credentials from any of the U of A's International Partner Universities are also welcome to apply for summer internships.

The Shankar Research Group is operating at near maximum capacity for grad students and is therefore currently not accepting any more students for the term beginning Jan 2010. However, openings exist for Fall 2012 for exceptional students with superior academic credentials (high GPA and publications), who will be nominated for scholarships.

Oct 15 : Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarships and NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships (only Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible)

Feb 16-Apr 29 :U of A Master's Scholarship (international students are eligible)

Dec 2011/Jan 2012 (typically): Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship (international students are eligible)
