Research Group

The research interests of our group spans a wide range of topics with direct impact on society, including power electronics, efficient energy conversion, digital control systems and smart grid applications, reducing weight and extending lifetime and range of power electronic converters for renewable e systems, integration of renewable sources, storage, and intelligent controls systems to improve output power quality, reliability and capability in micro-grids. These fields are currently experiencing a very fast growth worldwide due to their environmental advantages and recent technical developments. The key to attaining a smarter grid is to develop mainly automated and controllable systems especially for the critical components such as distributed generation (DG) systems and smart metering units (SMU). Our research goal is to develop power electronics and integrated intelligent control systems for harvesting reliable renewable energies more efficiently and with flexibility at a much lower cost to eliminate barriers to the widespread use of distributed energy technology.

Our group welcomes enthusiastic individuals with similar research interests to apply for positions such as Postdoctoral, PhD. and MSc. degrees. For more information refer to the "Team" section of our website.
