I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Faculty of Engineering, University of Alberta) as Assistant Professor in September, 2001.  I am currently an Associate Professor.  I completed my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1998, and my Ph.D. in 2001, both at this institution.

My research interests are in micro- and nano-scale thin film materials and devices, micro- and nano-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS), and microfluidics, with particular interests in optical applications, chemical functionalisation, and sensors.

My pedagogical activities include, at the undergraduate level, courses in basic circuits, analog electronics, and digital electronics.  Circuits and electronics are a core subject area in the field of electrical engineering.  At the graduate level, I teach in the area of thin film materials.

You can find more about my research, teaching, and service activities on this website.  Thanks for visiting!
