University of Maryland MIPS project "Signal Processing for Non-destructive
Ultrasonic Tank Inspection", in collaboration with Praxair Services, Inc.,
Laurel, MD
Investigated and
developed the principles and techniques of ultrasonic inspection of storage
tanks. Introduced advanced signal processing tools into the current remotely
controlled robotic systems in Praxair Services, Inc. for non-destructive
inspection. Developed an efficient ultrasonic testing (UT) system with better
and more accurate detection performance. Introduced the concept of a prototype
system for the next-generation automatic ultrasonic tank inspection and anomaly
diagnosis.
