On behalf of the organizing committee of the fourth summer school, I would like to send the
warmest thanks to the members of the communications and information theory community

SUMMER SCHOOL 2009

The iCORE High Capacity Digital Communications (HCDC) Laboratory, University of Alberta, is organizing a Summer School on Communications and Information Theory. It will be held in Banff at the Banff Park Lodge Conference Center, August 17-19, 2009. The town of Banff is located in the heart of beautiful rocky mountains and offers close interaction with one of the most breathtaking places in the world.

Summer School will consist of invited talks from leading experts in the areas of Communications and Information theory. The talks will be self-contained and aimed at introducing graduate students and researchers to new areas in Communications and Information theory that are otherwise not covered in a comprehensive and consolidated manner in the literature. Additionally, the summer school will provide a stimulating atmosphere to learn, present, discuss and exchange ideas.
