Open SSH Secure File Transfer Client.
It is installed in all CNS computer labs and in E5-001(the hardware lab). It is also freely downloadable for home use at SSH.COM
Connect to your ee account by entering nyquist.ee.ualberta.ca under host name.
Under the "Operation" menu select "Go to Folder" or in the dialog box on the top right of your screen that lists your current remote path enter: /users/prof/elliott/www/ee552/studentAppNotes (pic)
Under you appropriate semester's folder and in a relevant directory make a new folder describing your app note. You can do this by clicking on the icon of a folder with a star or in the "Operation" menu select "New Folder".
Right click on you folder you just made and select properties to set the permissions. It should be set to 755 or read and execute for everyone and write just for owner.
Open the folder you just made and you can now copy all you files for your webpage into this remote folder by dragging and dropping them in.
You should select all the files you just added and set their permissions. It should be set to 644 or read for everyone and write just for owner.
Tip: If you have a file that you wish to load initially when someone opens your folder, name it index.html.
