As a guide to how these percentages would be mapped into letter grades, the University's
recommended distribution for third-year courses would produce something like:
		 74% to 86%  =>  A+
		 68% to 73%  =>  A
		 63% to 67%  =>  A-
                 56% to 62%  =>  B+
                 49% to 55%  =>  B
		 43% to 48%  =>  B-
                 31% to 42%  =>  C+
		 27% to 30%  =>  C
		 25% to 26%  =>  C-
		 23% to 24%  =>  D+
                 20% to 22%  =>  D
		 15% to 18%  =>  F
This mapping is produced only as an illustration of how percentages are mapped into
letter grades under the new grade system.  Your midterm grade, expressed as a letter grade,
should be treated only as a rough indication of how you placed relative to the rest
of the class.  Your final course grade will be determined by your performance on all 
aspects of the course, including assignments, lab reports, midterm examination, and the 
final examination.
